Long-time USJDP Junior Prep Camp particiapnt Matt Cope has signed a letter of intent to play D1 hockey for Robert Morris University of the Atlantic Hockey League. Robert Morris is located in Moon Township, PA.  Matt, a forward, played for the Colorado Thunderbirds for 3 years and was a member and assistant captain of the 2010 U16 National Championship team.  Currently, Matt is in his second year with the Wenatchee Wild of the NAHL.

2010 Junior A Development Camp participant Tommy Dowell of Olathe, KS has been selected to play for the 2010-11 Corpus Christi Ice Rays of the NAHL.After a successful week at the USJDP Junior A Camp, Dowell was invited to main camp, where he had a great camp and made the team.

After a long hard summer, Tommy is off to a great start to the 2010-11 season with Corpus Christi in his first year of Junior A Tier II action. Congrats to Tommy!

Two-year USJDP Junior A Development Camp participant Ricky Doubrava of Kennewick, WA has been selected to play for the 2010 Chicago Hitmen of the NAHL. After a successful week at the USJDP Junior A Camp in front of Hitmen Assistant Coach Mark Hammersmith, Doubrava was invited to main camp, where he made quite the impression on the entire coaching staff.

In addition, Ricky had a successful opening weekend of play notching a goal and an assist in the season opening NAHL Showcase Tournament.

Congratulations to 2010 USJDP Junior Prep Camp participant Ryan Scherer of Elgin, IL for being selected to play for the 2010-11 Team Illinois Midget Major AAA team. After a hard week at the Prep Camp, the 5'11, 185 lb. Scherer returned home to try-out for his local AAA team, Team Illinois. And after a long, hard try-out Ryan was able to make the jump from AA to AAA hockey as he was selected to the team as one of the top forwards, as well as an utility defenseman. Congratulations go out to Ryan for all his hard work.

Long time USJDP Junior Prep Camp and Junior A Development Camp participant Derek Whitehill of Winnipeg, MB has been selected to play for the 2010-11 Alaska Avalanche of the NAHL. After a successful week at the USJDP Junior A Camp in front of Avalanche Assistant Coach Sean Fish, Whitehill was invited to main camp, where he impressed the entire coaching staff and made the team.

Derek is off to a great start to the 2010-11 season with 6 points in his first 9 games of Junior A Tier II action.

Congratulations to former USJDP Junior Prep Camp participant Mac Carruth of Minneapolis, MN who was recently drafted in the 7th round of the 2010 NHL Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks. Carruth is a 6'2, 170 lb goaltender currently playing for the Wenatchee Wild of the NAHL.

Congratulations to former USJDP Junior Prep Camp participant Mac Carruth of Minneapolis who is enjoying success with the Wenatchee Wild of the NAHL.

4-year Prep Camp participant Ryan Benitez signed with Princeton University for the 2010-11 season.

5-year Junior Prep Camp, and Junior A Invite Camp, participant Aaron Quick, currently with the Wichita Falls Wildcats of the NAHL has signed a letter of intent to play D1 hockey at the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2010-11. Congratulations goes out to Aaron!
