Sample Participant Page

This is my personal page, it is designed to help me raise money for my trip to Helsinki, Finland with the USJDP Selects Hockey Team.

My name is Riley Jones and I live in Colorado and I have been playing hockey since I was 7 years old!!! I love hockey and have advanced from rec hockey to AAA Travel Hockey.  I have now skated in 12 states and have competed against kids from all over the United States and Canada.  I would like to eventually play in the NHL for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

My career started with my best friend Brandon in Florida where I started off in Roller hockey (2003-2006) then I moved to Colorado and converted to ice hockey where I have won 3 major tournaments since. Now I am headed to Finland to compete against some of the top Junior teams in Europe and Scandinavia, and am extremely excited and thankful that all my hard work has paid off.

Here is how you can help:

Please use this “Contribution” tool to contribute (any amount) to my trip. Think of it as buying me lunch or dinner. You can even leave me a message below by hitting the Add Comment text link in the lower right hand side of the page. My team is holding several fund-raising events to help cover the expense of this trip, but my personal goal is to raise $3,500.00.

Here are the facts:

a)      Tour fee… $100.00 each
b)      Hockey expense… $500.00 each
c)      Travel Expense… $400.00 each
d)     The experience, life skills, friendships and future growth… PRICELESS
